Bridgeway Practice Transitions specializes in both helping dentists buy and sell practices, as well as finding and placing associates.
Most dentists only have one chance to buy and sell their dental practice. At BridgeWay we work to make sure that both parties make the best decision possible. We do this by providing complete transparency and never putting our needs before the client’s. We believe that this allows for a true win/win transaction where both parties walk away feeling like their needs and goals were successfully fulfilled. We are a full-service transition company that does everything from practice appraisals, to assisting in financing, drafting contracts, and anything else that the transition requires.
At BridgeWay, we are focused on finding and placing associates in private practices. To successfully do this, we have to have a good understanding of the associate landscape. We are focused on really getting to know both our practice owners, as well as our associates, to make sure that we are putting together the right people to make sure that the relationship is successful for both parties. We try to make the process as easy as possible by handling initial interviews, screening candidates and job opportunities, drafting agreements, and anything else that might come up along the way

Todd Blackmar, Esq.
TRANSITION CONSULTANT
Todd Joined BridgeWay after a career as a United States Marine Corps Officer, a Veteran Owned Small Business owner, and as an attorney. Knowledgeable about contracts, advertising, marketing, and buying and selling a business, Todd brings a wealth of experience and useful skills to the Dental Practice Transition process. Todd is honored to help Buyers and Sellers achieve their extremely important goals as they transition and/or purchase practices.
Todd was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He is married (Amy) and has three grown sons. Two of Todd son’s were born in Okinawa, Japan and the youngest was born in Hawaii. When not working, Todd enjoys, traveling, watching football, and playing with his dogs. When it comes to traveling, Todd prefers the Caribbean Islands, Hawaii, and the Maldives. Todd’s favorite book is “Shoe Dog” by Phil Knight. Since Todd’ favorite Sports team is the Detroit Lions, he loves a challenge and thrives in adverse conditions.
Todd graduated from Miami University (B.S. in Diplomacy) and the University of Toledo, College of Law (J.D. Magna Cum Laude). Todd is admitted to the Ohio Bar and Federal District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.

Justin Lien
ASSOCIATE PLACEMENT SPECIALIST
Justin graduated from Ohio University with a major in finance, a minor in marketing, and a sales certificate. While in college, he served as president of the ski club for Ohio University. After graduation, Justin was recruited into a financial sales position for a mortgage company. He then changed career paths to focus on the dental industry. Prior to joining BridgeWay, Justin worked for a dental lab to expand their presence into the Ohio market. Justin is excited to bring his knowledge and passion for the industry to BridgeWay and to help the associate placement specialist program grow in Ohio.
Justin is an Ohio native and is originally from Cincinnati. He currently lives in downtown Columbus. Outside of work, he enjoys going out to dinner downtown and boating in local lakes with friends. In the wintertime, he likes to travel to the Rockies to ski with friends and family.
